Sarrazola House

Beaches
There are many beautiful beaches in Sintra, all of them a stone's throw from Sarrazola House.

Praia das Maças
Its name (literally Apples' Beach) is due to the fact that the Colares bank drains into it, after going through apple orchards, transporting the fallen fruits to the beach.

The Praia das Maçãs is a spa setting in the mentioned bank mouth, comprising a beach and the nearby village, located in the coast of Colares.
Praia Grande
Praia Grande is a beach located in the municipality of Sintra, in Portugal. It is part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

It offers a quite vast sandy area; hence its name. With an ideal intense swell, this beach is known by its excellent conditions to practise surf and bodyboard.
Every year you can witness several nautical sport events such as the world championship of bodyboard. It has an oceanic pool in the north end (payed ticket), while in the South we can find dinosaur tracks in the cliff. Good quality of water.
Praia da Adraga
This stunning beach is very popular in summer, but is also ideal if you want to go for a quiet walk at different times of the year. Its rocks, natural tunnels and caves give this beach a pitturesque, unique touch that id definitely worth discovering.

Palacio Nacional de Sintra
Sintra National Palace, located in the historic centre of the town, is a unique landmark with an unparalleled historic, architecrual and artistic value.

The Portuguese Monarchs ordered the construction of many palaces during the Middle Ages, but this is the only one that still remains practicaly intact.

MU.SA, or Museu das Artes de Sintra (Sintra Art Museum) houses works by local, national and international authors.
