Sarrazola House

Sintra is 30 km from Lisbon, close to the most Western part of Portugal, Cape Roca.

Praia das Maças
Its name (literally Apples' Beach) is due to the fact that the Colares bank drains into it, after going through apple orchards, transporting the fallen fruits to the beach.

The Praia das Maçãs is a spa setting in the mentioned bank mouth, comprising a beach and the nearby village, located in the coast of Colares.
Azenhas do Mar Beach
Located 3 km from Sarrazola.

Azenhas do Mar is a village on the coast of the municipality of Sintra, in the parish of Colares. The place developed along the Cameijo stream, which flows into the Atlantic and breaks into the cliffs of the coast, and where there were water mills, has at its base a beach where there is an oceanic swimming pool.

Praia Grande
Praia Grande is a beach located in the municipality of Sintra, in Portugal. It is part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

It offers a quite vast sandy area; hence its name. With an ideal intense swell, this beach is known by its excellent conditions to practise surf and bodyboard.
Every year you can witness several nautical sport events such as the world championship of bodyboard. It has an oceanic pool in the north end (payed ticket), while in the South we can find dinosaur tracks in the cliff. Good quality of water.
Praia da Adraga
This stunning beach is very popular in summer, but is also ideal if you want to go for a quiet walk at different times of the year. Its rocks, natural tunnels and caves give this beach a pitturesque, unique touch that id definitely worth discovering.

Centro Ciência Viva Sintra
The Centro Ciência Viva Sintra is a nonprofit association aiming at spreading science and technolo. On sunday mornings, it holds activities for parents and children aged 6-10.
Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval
Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval  is the main culture centre in the town of Sintra. It has two rooms, the Auditorium Jorge Sampaio (housing up to 1005 people) and the Cinema Room (up to 276 people).
MU.SA, or Museu das Artes de Sintra (Sintra Art Museum) houses works by local, national and international authors.

It is located in the old Casino, next to the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, and also has a Photography section, a Local Library and a Local Gallery with temporary exhibitions by artists from Portugal and from abroad.
